Itching is skin irritation that causes you to scratch. Itching can be localized (limited diarea a body) or generalized (occurring all over the body). This situation is common but often harmless. Itchy skin with visible abnormalities should consult a physician, and in some cases should be brought to a dermatologist because of the possibility of requiring special handling.
Common Cause
1. Comprehensive itch:
- Dry skin (cirrhosis) which is often caused by the addition of age, frequent bathing / hot bath, high temperature and low humidity. Stress and anxiety can also cause dry skin
- Allergy
- A bite or sting
- Certain drugs such as antibiotics
2. Itching in certain areas:
- Scalp : dandruff, lice, ringworm, skin dry clod
- Hands, toes, body folds, Gender : scabies, fungal infections, ringworm
- Female genitalia (vulva) : dry, low hormone levels due to menopause
- Anus : hemorrhoids, intestinal worms
- Foot : Athlete's foot (a fungal infection in the skin of the foot)
- Hand : eczema
